Today Joe Horneck became the first person to register as a candidate for Mississauga Ward 4 City Councillor.
Earlier this morning Mississauga City Council set the by-election to fill the vacancy. Election day is now set for Monday April 27th, and the deadline for candidates to register is Friday March 13th.
“I’m excited to continue meeting voters and talking about their issues and concerns,” said Horneck. “My priorities are reducing gridlock by improving transit options, ensuring citizens get value for money from city services, and making downtown a vibrant destination.”
“I think it is important that we have a city councillor who is committed to Mississauga, and is committed to serving a full term on council. We need a council that is united and works together to solve the issues of ward 4.”
Joe Horneck is an experienced finance and banking professional. He has served as a Vice President for an international pension manager, managed teams on three different continents, and currently works as a senior project manager with a major Canadian bank.
